What is TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)?
A pain relief device that sends mild electrical impulses through the skin to block pain signals from reaching the brain. Used in physiotherapy and available as home units. Does not treat the cause — used for pain management.
Example
The physio applied TENS to my lower back for 15 minutes — the pain dropped from 7 to 3.
